National Liberal Party Denounce Court Order to Stop National Delegates Conference
Strong Denouncement of Court Order Stopping National Liberal Party (NLP) National Delegates Conference (NDC)
Ladies and Gentlemen
We the leadership of the National Liberal Party (NLP). unequivocally denounce the recent court order that has halted our National Delegates Conference (NDC). This decision. orchestrated by dark political forces intent on derailing our vision is a blatant attempt to undermine the progress and unity of our party.
Just nine hours before our event, we received this court order. causing significant financial losses amounting to millions of shillings. Our dedicated members had traveled from across the country to participate in this crucial function, only to be met with this unjust disruption.
We specifically condemn Ambassador Stephen Kipkiyen Tarus. who has proven himself an enemy of the NLP. Tarus, dismissed from our party leadership in 2023 for incompetence, corruption, immorality, and untrustworthiness has no moral authority to use the courts against us. His actions are a desperate attempt to frustrate our agenda, driven by his affinity for dirty political and business dealings.
It is worth noting that Tarus is a wanted man in Uganda, with an active court case and a recent history of imprisonment in Luzira prison. We urge any party members who encounter him to remind him to return to Uganda and address his pending criminal charges.
We regret and register our sincere apologies to all party,
members who braved the long hours of travel and chilly nights to honor this momentous occasion in the history of our party. We shall not relent: we promise to do what is right regardless of these evil machinations. We obey the court’s orders and will momentarily take a break until the case is heard and determined.
To our party leader. Dr. Muli: These are trying moments for the party. Please steady the ship with your unwavering leadership and guidance. We trust in your vision and resilience to navigate us through these challenges and keep our party on the path of progress and integrity.
Thank you.
Omondi K’oyoo
