Following Gazette Notice No. 11160 dated 8th August, 2025, issued by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC), the National Liberal Party (NLP) has officially announced the commencement of its candidate nomination process for the forthcoming by-elections set for 27th November, 2025.
Vacant positions include one Senate seat in Baringo County, six National Assembly constituencies — Magarini, Banissa, Mbeere North, Malava, Ugunja, and Kasipul — as well as seventeen County Assembly wards spread across various counties.
The party is calling on qualified and eligible members to submit their applications by Tuesday, 16th september, 2025. Applications must be addressed to the Secretary General of the NLP and can be submitted via the official party email or hand-delivered to the nearest NLP office.
According to the NLP notice, applicants must be registered party members, registered voters, of sound mind, without a criminal record, and compliant with Chapter Six of the Constitution.
