Dr. Augustus Muli Leads Grassroots Campaign to Build a People-Centered Political Movement Ahead of NDC in Kitui
The National Liberal Party (NLP) has made a bold step in expanding its national footprint with the official launch of its new office in Limuru. This move marks a strategic milestone in the party’s broader agenda to build a grassroots-driven, people-centered movement across Kenya.
Under the visionary leadership of Dr. Augustus Kyalo Muli, the NLP is rapidly becoming a beacon for inclusive governance, transparency, and economic reform. Dr. Muli, a respected figure from Kitui County, has consistently championed citizen empowerment and transformative leadership. Speaking during the launch, he reaffirmed the party’s commitment to working with and for the people.
“We are building a party that listens to the people, that works with the people, and that serves the interests of all Kenyans,” said Dr. Muli. “The grassroots are the backbone of any political movement, and that is where real change begins.”

As part of its strategic expansion, the NLP is now rolling out an ambitious grassroots membership registration drive across Mt. Kenya and beyond. The aim is to build a strong and inclusive support base rooted in community engagement and local participation. The initiative is already gaining traction, with Limuru residents welcoming the party’s presence and expressing hope in its fresh political approach.
“We are excited to have a new political alternative that promises to prioritize the common mwananchi,” said one Limuru resident during the launch event.
The party’s entry into Limuru is only the beginning. Plans are underway to establish NLP offices in several counties, reflecting its long-term vision of national inclusivity and empowerment. The move is not just about political presence—it’s about building structures that connect directly with citizens on the ground.

All this comes as the party gears up for its highly anticipated National Delegates Conference (NDC), scheduled to take place on 28th June 2025 in Kitui County. The NDC is expected to serve as a key moment for party members and supporters to strategize, organize, and solidify NLP’s policy and political agenda ahead of future contests.
With its focus on unity, transparency, and community-driven leadership, the National Liberal Party is positioning itself as a fresh alternative in Kenya’s political landscape. The opening of the Limuru office and the expanding grassroots campaign signal a new chapter—not only for the NLP but for Kenyans seeking real change.
